On-the-ground volunteers
When IHC brings children to Richmond for surgery, we rely on our active team of volunteers to help care for them and their parents. Volunteers act as liaisons between IHC staff and families. They transport families to their appointments and translate for them -- opening communication between families and their medical staff. Because we bring both English- and Spanish-speaking families to Richmond, we are in need of volunteers who speak English and volunteers who speak both Spanish and English.Call 888-300-6917 or contact Lauren Faig to inquire about volunteering

Medical volunteers
IHC believes every child, regardless of geography of birth should have access to the highest quality care that can be afford them. For this reason, IHC desires to continuously recruit well trained pediatric specialists for their diagnostic and surgical programs. IHC needs of dedicated doctors and nurses to contribute their time and expertise to care for the children reached by IHC programs. Our medical volunteers can be involved in two ways: some of our medical volunteers are doctors in Richmond who agree to treat IHC's children on a volunteer basis; others are IHC doctors and nurses who donate their time and services on diagnostic and surgical mission trips to our six partner countries.Call 888-300-6917 or contact Lauren Corbett to inquire about volunteering
