Donation of Stock or Appreciated Assets

Gifts of securities (stocks, bonds, mutual fund shares, etc.) are simple alternatives that can benefit both you and the children served by International Hospital for Children. By making a gift of assets that have increased in value, such as stocks, you can avoid capital gains taxes when you contribute them. Knowing the cost basis (how much you paid) for your stock is necessary to determine how much you will save.

This is a great option for making a significant and meaningful gift to heal children, in a cost effective, tax-advantageous way for you.

In certain cases, IHC may also be able to accept a donation of nonliquid assets such as real estate, art, or jewelry.
